So over the span of the next year or so, I’m going to write glossary entries for the various unusual topics I’ve covered over the years. Sure, we have search capabilities and an archive by date, but given the approximately 770 newsletter issues we’ve published, another entryway makes sense. So, what’s a weird listy thing that I can do in that vein that could keep people engaged over a long period? And it hit me: Tedium does not have a glossary of terms! There are so many topics that we’ve covered over the years that to grasp what’s in there, we need to offer a more specific guide. That was fun, but I think that the idea probably needs a little bit of a break to keep that strategy interesting and viable. Today in Tedium: As you might have caught over the last year-plus, we had a bit of a gimmick where we went through different lists of things that didn’t make it. A charitable foundation is being set up in Lipton’s name. The newsletter recently lost its cofounder Pierre Lipton. A quick note: Before we get started today, I just wanted to give a quick shout to the team at 1440, which has sponsored this newsletter in the past.
